Jack Perrett releasing catchy, melodic indie anthems has become a bit of a regular occurrence and he has continued this trend with new single “Going Nowhere”, which comes with this smartly produced Focus Shift Films video starring…well, Jack!
Jack was chosen for the esteemed BBC Horizons programme in 2019 and is doing his selection every justice, crowning a fine summer (which has included an appearance at Isle of Wight festival) with a refined and layered tune reminiscent of The Libertines and The Courteeners.
Whereas lyrically the song takes on the topic of strained relationships “promises broken, we’re not going anywhere” the music bounces and jangles along, barely coming up for air. “Going Nowhere” feels like another step forward for Jack and the lads and they’re far from done in 2019. Catch them at a bunch of shows in the next few months including Clwb as part of Swn Festival and a home town performance in Le Pub on 16 November. Tickets here!
“Going Nowhere” was released on 13 September, you can listen to it on all the usual digital formats, including Spotify HERE.
